ASTLEY IS AN ATTRACTIVE VILLAGE IN THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF WIGAN, GREATER MANCHESTER.
Surrounded by farmland, woodland and water, in recent years Astley has become a much sought after commuter location due to its close proximity to Manchester City Centre and excellent transport links to the rest of the Greater Manchester region, Lancashire, Yorkshire and Merseyside.
Located to the North West of Manchester City Centre, Astley is crossed by the Bridgwater Canal and the A580, East Lancs Road which runs from Manchester to Liverpool. It sits by Leigh to the west and the popular villages of Worsley and Monton to the east.
